De Stad Brugge maakt sinds 1 juni 2011 gebruik van gemeentelijke administratieve sancties, in het bijzonder administratieve geldboetes, bij de handhaving van een aantal reglementen en verordeningen. Momenteel worden GAS 123 toegepast in Brugge. In 2022 waren er 760 dossiers. In 2023 zijn er 1.162 dossiers behandeld. Het is de bedoeling om in de eerste helft van 2024 ook GAS 4 toe te passen, specifiek de in-breuken inzake het verkeersbord C3 (verkeersvrije en autoluwe zone) vastgesteld door ANP...
